In the process of implementing a seven-figure investment programme, JJS Electronics Ltd. reports that customers continue to respond positively to its unique position in the industry. Not only is JJS part of the successful Paragon Electronics Group with manufacturing facilities in the UK and the Czech Republic, but its distinctive structure has created a customer services commitment second to none.
Commercial Director, Stepehn Geaves, explains: “Here at JJS, our customers know us for our ‘best of both worlds’ strategy. Unlike the majority of EMS providers, we offer customers the benefits of an offshore manufacturing facility plus the security of working with a UK company. However, recent growth and continued investment has seen us take this a step further. There’s no denying the scale of our operation, especially since, in recent months we’ve introduced a new logistics area, new people and a new SMT line. JJS’ recent large scale investment programme has seen the company expand its operations in the UK with a new facility which includes an enhanced logistics capacity with new racking, automated handling and lifting equipment. In Central Europe, the company has also upgraded its materials storage and direct ship areas. The UK facility also benefits from experienced new recruits, while JJS has added state-of-the-art technologies including screen printing, pick and place, and reflow plus optical inspection equipment including an advanced AOI system and the latest systems to support BGA assembly. The investment has increased the company’s ability to provide a fully integrated manufacturing solution incorporating capabilities such as box build and precision mechatronics.
